Wast majority of those zombies participating are running MS operating system, 99.999 % is a realistic figure. Drunk or unlicensed drivers are banned from highways, why are MS users allowed to connect to the internet?

This is not the first large DDoS attack against Spamhaus.

And btw: good sources, teckk.

Emerson 03-27-2013 06:15 PM

I happened to read someones comment on BBC, claiming Spamhaus is ruining legit small businesses, punishing innocent. IMHO the spam sent out by small businesses is as annoying as spam coming from major spammers. In fact, it is even more disturbing, because fake Viagra sellers get filtered out but aggressive small or medium businesses get thru to your inbox.

LOL! I'd like to see anyone on a spam blocklist make the case that their "small business" is "legitimate!"

Also, I understand that "small businesses" usually outsource their spamming to the "major spammers."

Emerson 03-27-2013 06:31 PM

Well, their small business may be legitimate, this does not mean they can send out UCE. Regarding outsourcing, big businesses outsource it even better. For instance, once upon time DirectTV offered free web sites for people willing to advertise their product offering commission for every new customer. The only condition was they are not responsible for advertising methods. If this isn't a call for spamming then what is?

Spam blocklists do hit innocent web users. It's the same principle as postcode blacklisting... "oh you come from XY00 ABC? Sorry we can't give you credit..."

Yes and no. Yes, any RBL may mean netizens in certain IP ranges need to use smarthost or equivalent. Anyone regarding that as an insurmountable problem should realize the amount of money the spam and malware economy generates, the damage it does and the time it takes if one would have to filter it out manually and individually. And no, zip code black listing isn't comparable in any way with what a non-profit, volunteer-operated service, responsible for successfully filtering out eighty per cent of spam, contributes to the wellbeing of the 'net if one has any idea about the volume of email that gets sent every year.

I just want to know how to make $400 an hour in my part time.

Also a larger man sausage would be good for her.

And why are all those girls contacting me for discrete affairs.

And when the FBI wanted to know my passwords because my pay pal account has been hacked.

I know of no "good" spam. I'd prefer a ton of junk mail over one spam email.

Of course there is no such thing as a "cyberwar". They made this term up so they could set up hacking groups to offensively "defend" (much like they invade other countries and call it "peacekeeping").

I suppose they have to save face somehow. Nobody would support an offensive, invasive, tyrannical state ... if they knew about it.
