Fedora Core 3 Linux reminds me of IBM OS/2 Warp

kinda cool, still 'green' and unstable to some degree except fedora requires more intelligence to make it function normal like for personal reasons

I haven't had a single problem with FC3. FC1 and 2, however, were different stories. The only problems I've had w/ FC3 were when doing my own kernel. Of course, I've used FC1, 2, and 3 so I probably knew what to expect when and after I installed FC3.

I might be a little biased. I am apparently a Redhat/Fedora fanboy. (yes, I'll admit it)

Of course in less than 2 weeks FC4 should come out. Can't wait til then. :)

i think IBM OS/2 Warp is a good OS
that's why when i firstly come across redhat6 , i'm kind of interested in linux ....
because i always love DOS and not too long ago FreeDos that's why i use ubuntu for common work now .......
but when i need to work with dying and old fashion obscurities i boot into redhat9 !!
BUT !! when i need to burn CDs i boot into XP !!!!!

and i think i'm drunk , this time by black coffee only ................. no mixing .......

Eeeeep! OS/2 Warp, I haven't thought of it in years!

We had that running on alot of boxes at the bank ops center I used to work at. I don't know if it was an earlier release or what, but OS/2 left me rather unimpressed. But maybe it was because of the adverse conditions...the system we had was a Rube Goldberg nightmare incorporating everything from pre-Macintosh text terminals running who knows what to the latest WinNTs, plus the odd Unix server in the background - everything but a Linux! Plus we had tons of Banktec-specific apps and machinery which crashed and froze and wheezed and fainted, too. So OS/2 Warp failed a lot, but then, come to think of it, *every* machine there failed, particularly with our *trained professional staff* banging on them 24/7.

Thanks for the memories...I think!
