Facebook and Credit Card Security?

Hi, if I want to send a donation through a facebook charity by credit card, how secure is this? I know facebook is not known for it's security.

Through a "facebook charity"? is this something only on facebook? if so, its likely just a scam and no actual charity involved. Any actual charity should have its own domain that you can submit a donation through secure channels.

I don't trust Facebook to do anything other than betray my trust.
