European citizens speak! EU Commission consultation on creative content online/DRMs
 

Hi all,

A great chance to make your feelings known where it might have some effect: the EU commission is holding a public consultation before it makes recommendations on a strategy for "Creative content online".

This is fairly beaurocratic, heavy going stuff, and I am yet to read the original communication before making any comments in the questionnaire. BUT: this is a public consultation, and it's only right that those of us on the "fringe" who so often get shafted with restrictive DRM (and people who feel strongly about digital freedoms) should make our feelings known, so you are very much advised to do so. Documents are so far available in english, german and french.

Before you say this is pointless, ask yourself why mobile roaming in the EU has suddenly become cheaper. This can make a difference. Personally I'm sick of getting no BBC iplayer for my licence fee.
