Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

1) I have made up a grub splashimage howto that altho not absolutely necessary would ideally allow persons to download a new stage2 file if they already have grub.
And I have 2 other graphics file that if not available make my help tutorial pretty hopeless.
I uploaded 3 files to my yahoo briefcase but only the jpg format is visible at my yahoo briefcase.
I then renamed my grub stage2 file and uploaded as a text file and same for a works.xpm.gz file but yahoo still hides it.
(2) I have seen messages that tripod has free web space but I am so naive on web design and on the fast builder I can't see where I make my files available.
(3) In the interim, anyone reading this post, Mods do not need to reply, who can offer their site for a couple hundred kilobytes or help me with understanding tripod would of course get credit in my grub splashimage howto.
I realise that I have not spent a lot of time learning tripod because I thought I could trick yahoo's briefcase.
I failed sob sob and I am tired.
Forgive any perceived crankiness on my part, its my defining character blemish (joke)
