Thanks H_TeXMeX_H for your reply. I too also voted no. I have nothing against video promotion of linux, but the concept of "I'm linux" is just too corny. I believe there are better ways to video promote linux than having someone saying "I'm linux" one after the other.
I don't even think the "I'm a Mac" commercials (the ones that spurred this movement) are funny. They really aren't funny or interesting ... so why copy it ?
Have you watched the "I'm a PC" ads by Microsoft? When I saw them they made me feel dumb. I mean, they're really dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. I wouldn't want Linux to follow in the same footsteps.
watched those novell ads, they're nicer than these mentioned here...
still, jumping on a bandwagon isn't necessarily the way forward, in fact most
times when others jump on it too, the bandwagon's gone already...

Oh, I don't know, some of them were amusing, this UAC one tickled me...
Anyway, as for this "I'm a linux" stuff, it just strikes me as having a little bit too much "me too!" about it. The Linux Foundation copying Microsoft (and doing a worse job of it) is not the message that you want to give people.
With any luck, this whole thing will stay under the radar and no one will take any notice.
I'm a Linux user and advocate, but I'm not Linux. I could never fit onto a drive.
To me Linux has now come to represent the Nilgris Hills- The Blue Mountains of Southern India and the cool climate similar to Northern Europe. What do you think Linus?
Good idea.
