Do you go to swim regularly ?
- How often do go to swim during the week?
- Which equipment do you use? - How about the body? |
A while back I used to like to swim on a fairly regular basis...don't do it very often anymore, though since I moved out here to MD. :(
The swim club's facility out here just isn't the same as the pool back where I used to live... |

Hi
Swim+workout+Martial Arts training+running=28 hours per week ... I am a very "electric" person ( some say that I was an hyperactive child ), and I need all this physical exercise to "cool down the reactor".... :D... Guess this makes me a sports addict... There is a scientific explanation for this... they say that Endorphin ( an endogenous neurotransmitter ) is released in huge quantities when someone works out real hard... it mitigates fatigue and muscular stress. On the other way... endorphin can create addicting mechanisms, taking a person to do what it takes to "get his dose"... This explains that lots of rational people will do what it takes fo feel "High" on opioids ( Endorphin is an opioid )... Get in dangerous situation, getting attracted to risky and dangerous behaviours ( like radical sports ), be compulsive gamblers, sports addicts... All those activities are known to trigger the releasing mechanisms of Endorphin The sensation is quite pleasant... after "kicking ass" and "being kicked" in a Kyokushin Karate training, I feel quite relaxed, and in an absolute peace of mind, despite being phisically worn out... It is quite strange... and pleasant... :) BRGDS Alex |
Well, I have a pool, but not here. I used to swim once or twice a week.
I never actually learned how to swim, and developed my own style of swimming instead. I'm sure everyone knows how to tread water by instinct, just take baby and put it in the water, it will swim around. There is no way this knowledge can be lost, so adults who say they can't swim are probably just aquaphobic. They may not know any style of swimming but they can stay above water if they don't panic. |

I used to spend days swimming. I remember coming out of the pool with a back full of blisters.
I don't do that anymore. (not because of the blisters, but just because) |

Since I live in sunny California, I tend to swim a lot. That said, here's the kind of pool I like:
I also LOVE waterparks. The closest waterpark to me (Wild Rivers in Irvine) is SO much fun! Edit: I have fun swimming partly because I am also a teenager, and California is my homeland, as mentioned. |
