Digital Pens/tablets recommendations

I'm looking for something that I can use with my laptop to take notes in class and have the option of converting my handwriting/printing into typed text. Specifically I've glanced at the Logitech Digital IO Pen, the I-Pen, and Wacom Graphire3 4X5 tablet. If anyone has any comments on these, or other suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Again, I only plan on using this for taking notes in class, so graphic editing isn't even a consideration. Oh, and platform is secondary. I'd prefer Linux, but I have access to windows too. Thanks for any help.

Is it any good for taking notes, and is there any handwriting recognition for it?

Thanks for your comments. I decided to go with the i-pen pro. The Logitech IO pen seems cool, but it's a bit pricey and then you have to buy the handwriting recognition software, the special paper, ink refills, etc. The I-Pen Pro seems best to suit my needs for taking notes in class. It's wireless, and it comes with all the software I need.

I got the I-Pen Pro, but I got frustrated with it, so I gave it away. I never got it running in Linux; I really didn't try. I used it on windows, and found that the Microsoft Office handwriting recognition worked better than the software that came with it. My handwriting is so messy, that I didn't really have the patience to learn to use it.

actually, I posted this 10 minutes too soon. After an hour or so of messing with my X configuration to set up a second mouse, I gave up. Then I realized that it worked fine without any changes in my configuration. I guess both devices map to the same "device" as far as X is concerned.
