Detecting new hardware


hi
my linux operating system is not able to detect some of the hardware. what could be the possible reasons for this? i have a pci to pc card drive unit. this is not getting detected.

what should i do????

Well first off, letting us know of the exact hardware and model might let us know if its gonna work or not with Linux.

Second, next time post this in the Hardware forum where its more suitable.
