Data Recovery Software

I need to know if anyone knows of any software that allows you to boot of a CD and recover data?

Um... The 2nd disk of your Slack disk set, maybe? Or even the first disk'll work for that. Also there is always Knoppix, Morphix, and SLAX Live CD... Unless your data is all on an NTFS partition, then as far as I know your screwed, sorry.
