Cyber security and the Syrian war

Well, the war is not yet official, but with the growing pressure to the United States on waging war to Syria, another bloody battle is not that possible.

Our concern here is that, there are suspicions that a certain Syrian group would wage war in case this happens.

Are you guys familiary with this group? Or, do you think the group is capable of waging any cyber warfare to the US?

*To clarify: this is not about Linux Security but about opinions about a potential threat.

Don't worry. The NSA has spared no effort or expense to keep you safe from threats like this. ;)

The "cyberwar" stuff is mostly hype from the full-employment-for-consultants lobby.

Here's a good place to begin.

Then look for other posts by George Smith.

Full Disclosure: I kind of know George Smith in an internet sort of way. He knows whereof he speaks.

I think I phrased this incorrectly. This topic was raised less of a concern but more on curiosity :)

The thing is, I've never heard of any real cyber warfare yet, and I'm a little bit excited to see what happens when this happens. Not that I don't know the economic consequences, of course.
