create linked file by command ,how ?


hi all
i have a file that i want to make a copy of it in somewhere esle and link them together in a such way that the first on play master role and the second play slave role. by master and slave i mean if i change the content of fisrt file the changes take effect in second one but if the second one is changed the first one be secure of this changes .
it is possible to do such work ?

All I can think of is to set up a cron job that occasionally will overwrite the "slave" with the "master"...

I don't know a way of making a one-way sym or hard-link...
