Would I be breaching copyright law if I did the following for a non-profit site:
- Included samples in very low quality (no longer than 10 seconds) from rock songs
- Included a link to where each song could be found from amazon
I want to create a site that has all time great rock riffs but I dont want to get into any trouble. I am just putting clips up like amazon does for albums.
I'm sure the samples you wouldn't get in trouble for but its always good to ask the artist or label, etc.
And the links to amazon, I'm sure they have some kind of partner program. But if you were to just place links to their site, that's free advertising for them, I don't think they'd be complaining.
