copy files form Linux to Windows OS
I have got this file (I copied it form Linux gedit editor),,see the link please
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/844...ociatio2ox.jpg How can I associate the file with any windows's editor (notepad, wordpad, any other third party program). Right now I have to do it manually every time I would like to open the file. Is this th case with all Linux editors ? or with some of them ? |
To my knowledge windows must have a file extension like .mp3 to recoginze a file.
You'll have to rename the file to something like fdisk.txt Maybe set up a batch file to do this if you need to do this all the time... |

Select the file and press F2. Then press the right arrow key and type .txt
You're good to go. AHH! My EYES !!! My EYES !!! |
Just rename the file .txt or if you don't want to right click on it and click open with, then select the 'remember file association' button and select your editor.
