Content Management with POP3 authentication?

Hey there, not so long back i was looking at content management systems, and came across one that had the ability to use a pop3 server (and accounts) for authentication? can anyone name this particular one, or point me in the direction of a plugin/module for any other CMS that may be upto the job.

Thanks in advance.
