I have a Moxa multiport card installed on Mandrake 10.1 Official which sets ports ttyM0-ttym7. When a user logs into my Unibasic software, it find ports 1 - 8. This part is fine. The problem occurs when I log into Unibasic from the console screens: The console screens are set in inittab as tty1-tty6. This makes Unibasic see console 1 as port 1, console 2 ans port 2, etc. I've tried resetting the console tty1-tty6 assignment in inittab to tty9 and up, which only disables tty1-tty6. How can I set the console tty assignment to allow my port numbers to assign higher tty numbers?
