computer prices post vista release

how will the final release of vista, (whenever it happens) affect PC prices when it happens. I was thinking that if there are a whole heap of people buying computers prices will go up, also, prices of older computers will probably go down with all of the people selling their older computers.
Given the system requirements of vista, i'm assuming that people will be buying more high end video cards and ram compared to what is usually shipped on computers being sold today.

anybody here have any predictions.

My prediction is that there will be increased job opportunities in India's customer care sector, due to more people calling in and wondering why Vista does not run smoothly on their $400 Dell.
