Christmas presents

Don't know where to post this but this place was the best one I found. So anyone want to share what they got for christmas? :D

Well the one I wanted to show people was this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/013...lance&n=283155

Got it yesterday and it seems to be great. From what I've read so far its very easy to read and has alot of information, for the newbie and a more experienced user alike. Has anyone else read this book?

My parents paid for part of an iPod(30GB black video)! Other than that....not a whole lot tech related, I got some snowboard goggles though...

a juicer? as in, for fruit? Huh....

dns21 12-26-2005 11:58 PM

yeah, i'm a vegetarian so my parents got me a juicer. Now I can turn food into dank drinks, not just smoothies.

I bought the family an espresso machine so expect some more late nighters from me :p

I much prefer giving presents than receiving them to be honest, lame I know but its fun making it a challenge to get people something they will never see coming in a million years but still like :D

I'd rather have been happy, than have any material stuff (though material stuff is nice).

My little sister gave me a pillowcase with a picture of tux on it, which she had screen-printed on herself!

I got to love and be with my wife and newborn all day, it's all I needed as I asked for nothing else and wanted nothing else. I (so does my wife) don't treat the holidays as a way to spoil others with materialism as it's turned out to be, just another holiday for corporations to make money. Though when we do give gifts, they're gifts we made that actually mean something, not something you can just swipe your credit card at a store to wrap up at home to giveaway.. ;)

a funky scarf from my sister, and some laptop bits (wifi card and extra battery)

I got money for a Thinkpad, and my little brother gave me a stuffed Knuckles...

Ohh the days of SEGA...

The BIG surprise for me was that my dad took me aside and palmed me money for the PCMICA CD-ROM that's compatable for my ancient "butterfly" IBM laptop! He made me promise I would use the money for that purpose only, not for bills, kids, wife, etc. (funny how fathers are like that, I'd have to do the same for him, or I know he'd use it on his grandkids!) Now I can get the networking drivers more easily installed and finish tricking out the Linux installation!
Beyond that, it was a Christmas filled w/ love and joy. Can't get better than that!

1 Gig of memory, and clothes.

Actually got a couple early presents, cause my power supply blew up and took the motherboard with it.
