check out this monster system

Hola,
My company mostly builds large server clusters, but every now and then our clients also need graphics workstations. So check out this system: it will be used to generate 3d models of underground oil deposits. But for now Im testing it with Doom3 lucky me.
iWill DK8EW mobo
dual Opteron 252 (that's 2.6 GHz 64 bit)
16GB ddr 333 reg ATP memory!! gotta love that
dual (yes dual) Geforce 6800GT sli 256Mb ddr333 PCI-Express video cards! whoa it can render games in its sleep. These cards are linked together for optimum zombie killing power.
650w power
4 WD raptor sata hdd as a RAID 5 on 3Ware raid controller.

Wow wish this was mine!! Though I could buy a car with that money.
Although our clusters have way more computing power and memory, they almost never support high end video cards.
this whole system costs around $10k
Would rather have a wildcat 800 PCI express with 640MB mem! but I suppose this would do
;-p

anyway, have a good weekend, I will

later

We just got a 8 CPU MP 3.0 Ghz Xeon with 32 GB of Ram and 8 73 GB SCSI drives which is going to be used with Slackware. Could have bought a top of the line BMW M5 with the amount that is cost!

Sounds like a non-sequiteur. Landon - the post was just to say that the OP has seen an awesome system at work. Why would he want you to email you his CV?

Sounds like an awesome system.

Are there going to any other devices on this system? I'm wondering if a 650W power supply is going to be able to hold up.
