'cdrecord -toc' detects the drive but 'cdrecord -media-info' doesn't.

Hi:
Code:

$ sudo cdrecord -toc dev=1001,1,0
This gives
Code:

Using generic SCSI-3/mmc  CD-ROM driver (mmc_cd).
Driver flags  : MMC SWABAUDIO
Supported modes:
first: 1 last 1
track:  1 lba:        0 (        0) 00:02:00 adr: 1 control: 4 mode: 1
track:lout lba:      1117 (    4468) 00:16:67 adr: 1 control: 4 mode: -1
$

Now,
Code:

$ sudo cdrecord -media-info dev=1001,1,0
and I get

Code:

cdrecord: Sorry, no CD/DVD-Recorder or unsupported CD/DVD-Recorder found on this target.
Version is
Cdrecord-ProDVD-Clone 2.01.01a23 (i686-pc-linux-gnu)

How can this be?

Just use:

Code:

cdrecord -prcap dev=/dev/sr0
