Yes, that's true, IE does the things in different and "creative" ways, it's the MS's policy (why stick to standards at all?). But I don't think that's related to the problem being discussed here, because It seems to work for every user. Not just IE ones. Once you sort the UA issue. At least that's what it seems around here, I can't speak for myself. I have no interest in putting a fence around my house unless I have the key to open it so I don't use hotmail.

Each change they do seems to be to aimed at annoying the user not to speak about constant protocol changes in hotmail based messenger stuff.

Seriously, how is the redesign of the site related to this at all? Did they need to change that (which seemed to be working not for all, but for most cases) to change the look and mechanics of their site? I guess no. They just changed it for we don't know what reason.
