an weird question to ask on a linux forum, but try installing it again...if you're having this much trouble installing a program on a windows box, linux is not going to be fun for you at first....

make sure the installer you have is legal and valid, shut down other applications, uninstall it and reinstall again, make sure your computer meets the system requirements... theres a thousand things you could do..

You are going about this backwards. What you need to do is to uninstall Windows XP SP2 from your vmware.

But seriously, his question was not how to INSTALL. He said he was having problems UNinstalling. So the solution to his problem cannot be to UNinstall and install again. Perhaps just the opposite. Try REinstalling, then uninstall. Don't really know, just that maybe some of the files used to uninstall may be corrupted or missing. Perhaps you uninstalled some other program earlier and did not heed the warning that we all ignore, that certain programs might not function properly afterwards.

Dear darinbolson,

You are right. Someone deleted some files carelessly. For that reason, I couldn't UNinstall and REinstall. But, when I tried several times, I have noticed that newer version can UNinstall old one but it can't install its files (for that reason, it rolled back to orignal state). So, I let it to UNinstalled old one. And then I pressed reset button of pc(it is not good way. But, It worked!). When pc restarted, it installed successfully. :) After that, I UNinstall it and install old one again. :D

I agree with you all that installation and uninstallation process in Windows is very easy. But, sometimes very mysterious.

Anyhow, thank you for paying to my thread.

Good luck,
greeting
