Cannot generate kernel .config w IDE, SCSI, SATA, FAT, Ext2, Ext3.

i have a strange request:
will somebody post a working kernel .config file that has support for IDE, SCSI and SATA with filesystems FAT, ext2 and ext3 included?
i cannot generate one for some reason and need help.

You might have an odd request, but you have a n even worse thread title. Please make sure it directly relates to the question you are asking.

...and instead of asking for handouts why not try to troubleshoot this problem? This way you can post your question and the answer and help others with that as well. Would be a nice gesture for all the OT oneliners you posted.

OK, so it's a coherent reply. But it doesn't include any technical details anyone could help you with. And my ESP is way low.

Since you haven't posted anything of use I suggest you run 'make menuconfig' on another host or in a VM to get what you want.

Hmm, sounds like a problem with ncurses. You might need to re-install it or upgrade it.

Have you tried running the GUI version in Xwindows ?

make xconfig

A default config may work for you:

make oldconfig
