Can you buy a new PC which is preinstalled with FreeDos OS? (cheaper and better)
Hello,
I have a very good shop where I can buy machines directly with FreeDos. No expensive operating system on it. I like very much this method. I can save at least 70-100 Euros, and I can install on it Linux. I believe that it should be an option to consider. You are the customer, you may have wishes. Can you buy a new PC which is preinstalled with FreeDos OS? Usually they will refuse to sell you a notebook without an operating system. Regards Tux |
I can buy anything on the internet.

You can buy anything on the internet if you live in US or UK. Many places do not allow international orders or it is very expensive

Here's a laptop from ebuyer that comes with Ubuntu pre-installed. It's no problem to replace Ubuntu with FreedDos if that's what you want.
And here's a desktop (same company) that comes with FreeDos preinstalled. jdk |
This is the first time I've heard of this, but it sounds like a great idea.

Major PC makers pay only a fraction for the OS on it. They sometimes get rewards for installing junkware so their cost to install an OS is next to nothing or nothing.
Anyone is free to do as they wish. Consider this. When you retire the system you can put back on the original OS. |
