Unhappy Can my monitor be saved?

MY home was hit by a flood and my monitor was almost out of harms way.I need a new power cord but the one with the pins is what I am wondering about. It's a little rusty inside, the pins have a few flakes of mud on them. But I did let my gamecube adapter dry out and it worked fine. Just wondering before hand if I hook this up when I get my Pc back if it will work.

hard to say without seeing it, but it sounds like it probably will. maybe clean off the rust on the pins with some sort of soft wire brush and then use some compressed air on it.
