Can anyone help me with a Windows Server issue?
 

Hey guys.. I know it's not a Windows forum.. which is why I'm putting it in general.. We are upgrading at work from Server 2000 to Server 2003... and on the server which is the print server as well as Active Directory server, we are rebuilding from scratch because the previous employee totally screwed things up. My question is if there's any way migrate all of the printer cues and import them back into Server 2003 once it's set up?

I have about 75 network printers from LaserJet4's to huge canon color printer/copier/stapler whatever beasts.. and I really don't want to have to add them all back in by hand.. rebuilding AD is going to be pain in itself, albeit fun/interesting... If anyone knows of a tool (3rd party, built-in, or otherwise) that can do this.. please let me know!! thanks a lot...

it's called the printer migration tool. It should do what you want.

Thanks.. I found that this morning.. I have read through the white paper on it and I think it will work.. I'll post back to see how well this product actually works... of course, it is Microsoft... bleh..
