Buying epub with Linux (prob with acsm) ...

Hello
If you would like to get an epub, you will face the problem that it is impossible under linux since ACSM is a adobe security for windows of mac. Even under Windows it does not work :( What a funny thing that nowadays nothing works in informatics. Regards X. |
You can't buy it on InformIT, O'Reilly, Smashwords or some other store that sells DRM-free EPUBs? Can you buy it DRM-free directly from the author or publisher (always check that)?

Sorry but big shop (almost country monopole) do not disclose about it. For sure, they do not care since a single customer will not be a big problem. There are no refund. I sent an email and got the feed back that it isn't their problem since the ACSM has been delivered and is functioning well. So what can you even say? You have to live with Adobe DRM and forget. You cannot avoid it, and it is not allowed not to used ACSM. So be pleased to use Mac or Windows to read a book. |
Name the "big shop" that's dominating the ebook market in Debian Land.
