For all you avid Windows fans (come on, admit it, you all LOVE M$), here's an interview with The Man Himself:

"Sorry, this programme is only available to play in the UK", hmmm ... must try a proxy.

I've transferred it to my mp3 player and have already listened to it 8 times. I'm trying to learn it by heart.
It's not often that you can hear the voice of wisdom:)

Very wise. I like the bit when she asks him if his computer ever crashes like hers does. He says no, so I think he secretly runs Slackware.

I bet he does. After the famous BSOD in 1998, he switched to Slack and created a KDE desktop theme called "WindowsXP" on top of it. Furthermore, when beryl and compiz were created he just simplified them and called this desktop theme "Windows Vista". It quickly turned out that slackware was slightly too difficult for him to correctly configure and hence the stability problems of his XP/Vista Slackware. Also, I bet he didn't bother to read unSpawn's sticky posts in the security section of LQ...

I saw that on the news; I think the bit about his computer not crashing was just staged, like the box left on top of the car that he drives off in. Then again, Bill might be telling the truth - he may have never switched the computer on.

That's one question I would have asked him: "Have you ever tried a Linux distro?" I'd be very surprised, given his interest and knowledge of computing, if he hadn't.

I would also be very surprised if he hasn't. All operating systems surely copy stuff (ideas, not code) from each other to a certain degree (yes, Linux included), so he must have got some ideas from other systems. If this didn't happen, o/s's would never get any better, as there would be no competition for the best implementation of a certain component.

Steve Ballmer came from a marketing background - so he won't know his autoconf from his emacs.

For those who don't know, is an adaptation of the popular local phrase: "He doesn't know his arse from his elbow."

So that's the source of all those accursed XP and Vi$ta desktop themes for Linux. I was wondering who would want or use such a theme, now I know.
