For instance IMDB list "two mules for sister sarah" as 1970.

OK

Yes I wrote "two mules for sister sarah" (1970) and "the long goodbye" (1973), but I consider them always "best old movies" nearly enough to 60s.

The Esperanto word for this is :
"Gesamideanoj"

It means male/female who belong to a group who have the ideas/ plural
i.e fellow-thinkers:)

Without a doubt the scariest movie that I ever saw as a child was " Five "!! The movie was about 5 humans left in a city after the atom bomb war. I can still visualize that huge worm coming out of the chest of a human being!!

All I remember of "Planet of the Apes" is that Raquel Welsh looked fabulous.

2001: a space Odyssey

then the movie that had this in the closing line
Charlton Heston quote
Quote:

" Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it.......
-- You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell! --- "

I would like to recommend Dementia13. The first film from Francis Ford Coppola. I watched this recently and was most taken. More by the presentation than the actual storyline.

I believe the Heston quote in John_VV's post is from the closing scene of the first Planet of the Apes, when Heston's character spies the Statue of Liberty protruding all akimbo from a beach.

No, this is not a spoiler. The movie is almost 50 years old, for Pete's sake.

John VV 04-06-2014 08:32 PM

that movie STILL has some of the best lines ever .

so much so that that in the remake -- Heston as an ape " Take your stinking hand off of me .You damn dirty HUMAN! "

what do you expect , i have the complete box set directors cut for all the "planet of the Apes" movies

Where Eagles Dare
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065207/
good spy movie
and "the man with NO name" did something a bit different

speaking of "the man with NO name"
those "spaghetti westerns" would be in the list

bad movies , but cult CLASSICS
good, bad,and the ugly
for a few dollars more
-- and so on ---
