Best Ascii Tux?

Hi,

you might try this:

Code:

wget http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/56/Tux.jpg
jp2a --invert Tux.jpg

The rendering is not that great.

Would you have/know better Ascii Tux "image-output"?

Tux Tux

I find complex ASCII art hard to follow and I much prefer simple art. I like the tux that comes with cowsay
e.g.
Code:

user@linuxbox$ cowsay -f tux Hello World\!\!
 _______________
< Hello World!! >
 ---------------
  \
    \
        .--.
      |o_o |
      |:_/ |
      //  \ \
    (|    | )
    /'\_  _/`\
    \___)=(___/

I think this one's not ASCII, but is made of characters (not a real image file), and is pretty cool too: http://www.100mb.nl/

I stand corrected on my view that overcomplicated ASCII/Charater art odiseo77's link is truly impressive especially if you zoom out so you can see the whole image.

What is the text it's made of?

Not sure, but seems like random pieces of code (not being a programmer, I'm not sure about which language or which program). Really neat.

OK looking at it seems to be C more specifically seems to be the linux kernel or the main function at least.

It is hard to tell with the the lack of whitespace and random (from the text point of view) colour changes.
