"bad_pool_error" & "Your system is not fully acpi compliant get your Bios updated" errors in WinXP
Hello again,
Well this time it not for me but for my cousin who just rang me up and said that he had replaced the power cord of his computer with a new one and since then whenever he starts windows he gets the above stated error. I searched Google and found various other people facing the same problem and some threads suggested something called "HijackThis". Can someone suggest some way out here, please ! |

Gary,
Before I could send him the email, my cousin just called me up and said he had solved the above mentioned problem. I asked how to which he replied that he uninstalled some drivers and then installed them again, and now some other error named Quote:
I do not know anything regarding windows, any help is appreciated ! P.S. He said when he chooses to start windows XP from the "safe mode" he immediately receives this new error. |
Hi,
Just go to the manufactures website and get the updated BIOS if available. Be sure that procedures are followed or a brick will be created. Most manufactures have a Readme that will provide instructions on flashing the BIOS. Backup the BIOS if possible, there should be instructions for that too. :hattip: EDIT: Quote:

Thanks again. |

Boot the system normally to see if you still have errors, not safe mode. Document any messages and present here or check the M$ knowledge base. :hattip: |
