Average User Reviews Windows 7 Ultimate

I just installed 7 Ultimate in a Virtual machine on my linux box and had my wife sit down and spend about an hour just playing with 7 to see what she thinks. She is your average college student computer user, which in my mind made her a good representation of the population as a whole. Here's the notes she took.

Pro
Con
Its Pretty
No Office
Might be supported by Microsoft longer
No Email Manager
No annoying pop ups from security
Preview of windows not as good as Vista
Sticky Notes can be moved around and size changed
Shaking thing sucks and not working
Pinned is cool
Wont let me put on Google Chrome
Jumplist is plus
Home group only works with other windows 7
New paint is great
Math insert can't recognize most handwriting
Math insert cool

Its okay. It comes with some interesting things, but a lot of them I already had in Vista and just had them pointed out to me like, Snipping tool. The pinning is a good idea, and I'd love the new Paint on my Vista, but I'm not paying this much for it just because I like the paint app. It doesn't have any type of Office, I couldn't get Google Chrome to install. It is fun to play with but the price is too high for too few changes. Windows 7 really could have just been a bigger update for Vista for all the changes I've seen to be perfectly honest.

This pains me, but it's just smart business.
