Anyone written a music tagging script?

Has anyone written a script for anything (preferably audacity) that cuts recorded music files at specified points, names the resulting files, and fills in the ID3 tags automatically if you specify the names and artist ect.?

The best I've found is mp3splt (no 'i'). It can split mp3 and ogg files, and copy the original tags over to the split files, usually saving you 90% of the effort.

I usually just use easytag or audiotagtools to fix up the metadata and/or filenames after splitting myself.
