Any substitute key for <TAB> (auto completion)?
If I may ask. It is not responding and I will not buy a new keyboard within the next days. Perhaps bash (4.2.37) has some key combination that can be used for auto completion.
For the moment I can do ^I, but this has nothing to do with the shell. It's scan code to ascii tranlation and a bit clumsy. |
You could map a different key to the 'complete' function in .inputrc.
Looks like this has the details: bash - Change autocomplete key - Stack Overflow |
Well, it looks like my solution. But on second thought, apart from mapping another key, a double key stroke seems the only possible one. Thanks you for your link.
