Announcement: Creation of GNOME Shell user group

If anybody is curious about what GNOME Shell (and for that matter, GNOME 3.0) is or will be like or how usable it is, they are welcome to come to an LQ social group I created for it. I decided to create this group because I know that it will be a very hot topic in the coming months, since GNOME 3's release is only about 4 months away.

Only for Gnomes? What about pixies, elves, and fairies? Are you prejudiced?

Kenny_Strawn 05-30-2010 07:17 PM

Excuse me, I'm talking about the desktop environment, not the fictitious humanoid. Try to click on my links before jumping to conclusions.

Methinks you're taking brianL a little too seriously. ;)

(He was joking :D)

Why are you announcing a group about gnomes on a Linux forum? There are several fantasy and role playing forums out there.

Again: It's the DE, not the primate.

^ You are getting teased.

When did gnomes develop shells? They didn't have them when I was young. Have they been cross-breeding with tortoises? I think that's pretty sick and should be illegal.

brucehinrichs 05-31-2010 04:58 PM

Don't p*** off the gnomes.

We don't have to worry about the gnomes here in the UK, we've got the National Elf Service to protect us.

These are all terrible puns. Take your discussions about lawn ornaments to the following place: http://www.thegrowspot.com/know/f2/g...mes-54050.html and leave poor old Kenny alone.

That second one down, the gnome in the foreground has overdone the fake tan.
