Algorithm generator

I am working on a project where I have a set of numbers given to me, and I have to find a piece of software or generator to put the numbers in to generate them. (They are "lottery" numbers my teacher created). Where/how can I do this? How many of these numbers/codes would I need to it be able to figure out the algorithm and copy it? (this is for a computer class-looking for "īngenuity and creativity")

Any ideas?

What???

It's generally considered bad form to ask us to do your homework for you. Besides, I'm not quite sure I can figure out what you're asking.

????? Put the numbers in to generate them? Are you looking for a random number generator? Go to the programming forum and start looking up encryption. Loads of tools for generating cryptographically significant random numbers.

No, I need to break the algorithm. Essentially, the project is to see if we are 'motivated enough' to find something that will generate a series of numbers that fit his algorithm. He checks them then gives a grade for determination. (stupid teacher)
