Advice needed ASAP

Hello, I am interested in getting my A+, Network +, MCSE certifications. I've just signed up before doing any online research with CBT Direct. I am mortified that I signed up without doing any type of research. I just figured it didn't matter where I got the per-cert training materials and that what mattered the most is if I can pass the certification tests.

Can someone tell me if I am I correct in my assumption? Also, what is considered normal rates for getting A+, Network +, MCSE certs? I don't think I have a way out of this coursework that I just signed up for. I'm just hoping that all that matters is whether or not I can pass the cert tests.

Thanks for your replies!

Abby

you just have to be able to pass the tests. The MCSE is composed of several tests - or it was when I took it - at about $200 each test. Dunno about the A+ or Network+.

Uptown...

Being able to pass a certification test(s) does not equal knowledge or proficiency. I hope you at least have an interest in computers and computer systems, specifically their maintenance and repair, because that is what these tests are designed to measure.

Anyway, the per test fee is posted at Prometric

http://www.register.prometric.com/ClientProgram.asp

The price of the training may include a test at the end but you will have to ask CBT Direct about that.

I have A+ & Network+ and they have not been much of a factor in my job search...however they do look nice hanging on the wall of my office.
