Adobe + Macromedia, what's in it for Linux?

I saw the announce back in April/May but did not care until now to read deeply into how Adobe will aquire Macromedia.

IMO these are two companies that are quite vital for Linux to grow. Many people miss the companies' products in Linux and IIRC Adobe hired some tech people to help them out finding some way to port stuff to Linux. This happened late last year if I'm not wrong.

So if they will become one entity, I sure hope that they will try to get their products out on Linux too, that will be a hugh success for us, IMO.

Does anyone have any info on the subject?

i know adobe released adobe acrobeat reader 7 for linux and i arnt sure but i think they released the linux version at the same time as the windows version and the mac version. i dont know if they released acrobat prof for linux or not though i will have a look at the adobe site soon.

also i dont think porting the adobe sweet to linux would be that hard after all it all runs on mac OSX ok which is basicly a BSD fork as i understand it and BSD is very similar to linux more similar than windows.
