And what the fsck does this have to do with Linux? Try to place your questions and or threads in the most appropiate forum please. Your asking what genre Disco music belongs in, this has nothing to do with Linux so why did you place it in the Linux - General forum?
This thread has been moved to General. You seem to be making this a habit of lately. Perhaps you need to look a little more closely of what forum your in before you click the "New Thread" link and think to yourself exactly what your going to ask to know what forum it belongs in.

Depends on the place your purchasing from or downloading from... could simply be called Disco or could be categorized as Classic Rock.. or even classified as 70's music..
Ok, in the name of international aid, i'll give you a few examples:
Rock is Elvis Presley, ACDC, Ozzy Osbourne, Green Day, etc,
Dance is Madonna, Ira Levi, can't think of any others, because i don't listen to it, but it's more along the lines of Electronic music. It is also similar to current Pop music, which stands for Popular music.

Well i think i disagree a bit (and that's why tagging of songs is so difficult)....
Dance used to be madonna, kylie, etc.
Now dance is 'dj's' and mixes and stuff you won't probably recognize as music.
Disco applies to 70's era dance music, like the BeeGees, Sister Sledge, and that lot.
i think "stomping" is also a form of dance ... isnt it ??
i like taiwanese misic ...
but about dance ?? its hard to say actually ... you cant really "dance" to ruo da yiu during his 80s songs of protest but you could probably "dance" to his "newer" album from [ai ren tong zhi] and above and we also have some pieces from zhen zhi hua and zen wei yuen's "fallen techno" [chuen shi ge](which i really like , and i heard one of your music "intellectual" warned the music industry not to touch his music) , and i also like music from ling qiang ...
di sia gong zhuo shi , chen seng , wu bai , hong ma yi , all these are also great musicians , there are definately more taiwanese musicians out there which i got problem scribing mandarin chinese with engish ^_^ ... and dont forget about those "refine" women musicians something like nico from the west but not exactly though ...
and i would like to add that most of the time , all i listen to , and Dance To , is this chui jian from china , i think sometimes he sounds rather angry and impatient with his old men ...
to dance or not to dance with music is pretty obvious sometime ...
