Here you can view reviews from hardware. It's a link to reviews of slot-1 motherboards.
Like this(21 slot1 motherboards, tested whit a 800MHz pentium3.. should do the trick i think ) 21 boards
Basically the question has changed slightly. Will a slot 1 Pentium 3 800mhz processor fit into a slot A designed for AMD Athlon processor? Also will it work?
Thanks everyone for your help. I wish sellers on Ebay did their research better. I could have been stuck with processor thats not compatible with a motherboard.
I've bought the Motherboard. It is a socket 370. It is only 100mhz bus, so I am a bit worried about that, but if it works, I'll reply to this thread.
UndiFineD Thanks
I'm still trying to figure out if you have a socket or slot CPU
All P2's were slot 1. Intel switched (back) to sockets because they're cheaper to manufacture. That change happened around the time your CPU was produced.
If it helps, here's a picture of a slot A CPU I had laying around. The slot 1 looks very similar -- I've got a slot 1 CPU also, but I'm not opening the case to photograph it for you.
