yes, i know mission impossible 1 came out quite a while ago, but i just thought of a few questions to see if anyone can answer them.
first of all, from reading the book, It was stated that the mainframe ethan hacked into was a CRAY 3, would this be an apporopriate computer for the job or was that just creative licencing?
second, they go on about how secure the machine is and how very presure sensitive the floor is and the laser nets, and how the alarm reacts to a 1 degree increase in room temp, didn't they have video cameras in that room or did they forget (or was the information just too sensitive?)
third, if the computer was such a standalone, where did the screen shot of the infamous "download logged" screen come from in the conference room, and how did the team manage to get the password?
i know it's hollywood, but I just thought i'd put you on the spot for the heck of it.

I would guess that some of that would simply be movie magic.

Either that, or that Cray was running Windows

Or, simply, people writing it are not experts in network security issues...
