Sweet, I just became a "Senior Member."

So what now, Jeremy mails me a bottle of scotch and a fruit basket?

To whom do I give my address?

Let me know if he does, I'll have to dramatically increase my posting frequency.

Thanks! And yes, of course. I suppose it'll have to be an internet-party, the best kind.

And when you get to 5000 posts, you get a cup of tea (or coffee) and a biscuit (cookie, in US speak), plus an autographed group photo of the Moderators posing like Calendar Girls. I'm still recovering from seeing that...

Since you like to post so much, consider signing on as a contributing member.

It gives you fewer ads and a nice, warm, fuzzy, feeling.

And helps Jeremy pay for all that Scotch he drinks to salute any new Senior Member. (Well, that's what I suspect he does with the massive income and free time he gets from this site.)

It looks like long, long time ago when men were men and wrote their own device drivers, 1000 posts would have given you a guru status

What is a contributing member? Will I get paid to do it?

I post so much, helping LQ to make money, that I feel I *should* get a cut, but then.... I also get so much help, that I don't want to ask....

Will you get paid to do it? No. You pay for the privilege
