I've seen lots of folks swear by 1&1. I've also seen an equal number swear AT them

I wouldn't say that I swear by 1&1, but we are also customers and never had any problems with them. In fact, when we had problems with the connection and contacted them via e-mail they called back by phone although it was a Sunday, something I would have never expected. But may be the service in Germany is better than in the US.

I take it you managed to resolve the issue with them? And you found out why the person who emailed you signed her name as "Princess"?
