Actually, I think that the American people just might have ordered themselves a drought of "just what the doctor ordered" when they very-specifically elected a President who was not (yawn ...) either "a retired General" or "a professional Politician."

Maybe we should sit back and see if "the American People" were actually wiser than The Media seems to be willing to give them credit for.

Oops! Russia!™ The Cold War is back! "Hurry, duck and cover!!" Hurry up ... throw him out ...

... so ...

... ... that ...

I feel this is rather apt:

According to the media they are not, because they did not vote the way they were 'supposed to.' This is why there is a push now to filter out 'fake news' - (sorry I thought that was something I would decide for myself, right?), but I guess not since apparently there is a push for a 'Ministry of Truth' any dissenting views is to be labeled fake. How long until it is considered worse, such as illegal? From my thread about MSM see post 69 post 70, and post 71 - why do you think the big media conglomerates are getting in bed with Youtube? If you can't beat em then pull out all the stops, continue attempting to silence by demonitising videos because it is 'edgy', force majority of content to be unavailable unless logged in - because 'age restriction argument' - but, then if you go into youtube in it's restricted mode (not logged into your account) - all the big corporate media channels are available - and that includes 'news' - FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc, so uh, yea .....age restriction..... And it is not just youtube, but facebook silencing people, twitter... Hold the 'wrong view', and you will be gone. Orwell's nightmare come true.

Personally, I think that it's high time that the Democratic Party accept(!) that "their candidate lost."

She lost ... not by a little, but by a lot. The election-night map was a sea of red. (And, it means nothing to observe that you "won the popular vote count" when you did so only because of one State whose population is several times greater than that of any other: this is why we use a "two-tier" election process.)

And that was five months ago, now. Time marches on.

"The Russians" had nothing to do with the fact that Her Majesty lost. They did not, and could not have, "tampered with the votes" to cause the great majority of the States – many of whom still count their votes "the old-fashioned way" – to reject her.

Furthermore, it is not illegal for any political candidate, or his staff, or he or his staff after they win office, to be in contact with any other country. Including Russia. (Duck and Cover was a l-o-n-g time ago.)

Please quit wasting the FBI's time ... and our money.

What the Democrats need to do now is to remember that they are "Senators" and "Congressmen" first. They do not serve their political party: they serve the People of their State, who charged them with a duty that is "a sacred public trust."

They also need to recall that these are United States. This means that they must compromise. They must work toward "great laws for people," not self-serving laws for their major donors. They must efficiently prosecute the business of the deliberative body that they are a part of, and work with the other one, to craft "great laws."

And the same is true for the Republicans, too.

We're looking for "great lawmakers," who work for "US." People who bust their butts in committee meetings to craft great laws, then fight like cats on their respective house Floors until ... the law is ... beautiful. A thing ready to take its place in American jurisprudence for the next two hundred years.

Any takers?

Did anyone in the US watch CBS 60 minutes 3/26 (yesterday)? Does anyone watch Brain Games on the National Geographic channel?

Why did someone believe that a Pizza joint was a front for a child sex ring run by Hillary Clinton.

Why do social engineering scams work and why do I still get calls from Windows services claiming my computers are sending them email.

Fake web sites used bots to promote there rankings and the fact that those people that read those stories and then social media sites would provide them with similar content which makes it more believable. Anyone can post anything and in a matter of minutes have millions of hits, likes, retweets or whatever which must mean it is true. No, I don't use Facebook.

No it isn't illegal for someone to communicate with a foreign national but it was not in an official capacity and he lied about it.

I agree that both parties need to grow up and do something constructive for the American people.

A little bit, until it got rather preachy IMHO. It pretty much came across to me that they are trying to push the 'we decide for you what is fake.' So, anything not coming from a corporation is fake news, whatever comes from the corporation 'news' organizations is all accurate.

Only time I plop myself down in front of my tv, is to watch the youtube vids I downloaded to a thumb drive to play on my smart bluray player. Yes it has a youtube app, but its a pain to navigate because of the 1 sec delay, and typing anything in is even more of a pain and lets not forget the 'restricted' mode that it is in if you do not sign into your account, but all the corporate mouthpieces are all fine....

I don't know

I don't use facebook either, I never used it nor do I plan to use it let alone now - considering that recently Mark Zuckerberg had a little chat with Frau Merkel, to do something about all the 'fake news'. Again the media does pretty much look down upon the population, no matter if it is on TV or online. They are there to guide those who would otherwise be given bad information. You see the inherent danger/problem in that right? I dunno, I like to read anything and make my own decisions if that is still allowed, which pretty soon won't be - it is already looking that way in the EU - see my previous posts on that linking videos from Computing Forever and styxhexenhammer666 on that, plus my media thread.

That was bad, he did lie - but why is it being blown out of proportion? If the dems are so keen on the Russia issue, why don't we also focus again more on the Clintons and Uranium1 and such? Why won't they allow the FBI to examine their 'hacked' DNC servers? Well at least a youtuber by the name of H.A. Goodman is demanding it.

Yes, yes they do but the dems are not going to change. If I were a democrat (registered I mean) I would definitely look into the Justice Democrat movement. I hope they are successful in taking over and sweeping aside the corporate dems. The Republicans are just as useless. It does not matter that Trump ran under a Republican banner. He still threatens their gravy-train as well, it is not just that turtle Mitch or senile Mccain, but also Paul Ryan.

Another note about 60Min - I linked a video from Lionel Nation in my other thread , he breaks it down perfectly.
