[SOLVED] Mass options change for all servers in the putty

Hello,

I have about 100 servers added in my putty (registry mode).
Is it possible, to made mass change the options of window size, lines scrollback and some behaviour option without clicking one by one?

Regards!

Window size, scroll back "and some behaviour option" are local PuTTY options. A you already indicated using the Windows registry for saving configuration options this question does not belong in this forum but in /General and I've asked for it to be moved there. Making mass changes to the Windows registry requires either you export the keys to a text file, make changes using a regex-capable text editor and importing the .reg file again or a registry editor that can make change directly.

I don't see it as a mistake. Taxonomy can be difficult even for senior members. So no problem, really.

Try HKLM\Software\%VENDORNAME or HKCU\Software\%VENDORNAME or try searching the 'net.

I found it, and export to file.reg.

Now I am just wondering.. cause I am not a Windows expert, could I edit this file, save as file.txt, and made some replacement of the strings using sed or perl, for all of them in cygwin console? And after that, save it as .reg file, and import in Windows?

Linux is a better environment for making operations on files ;)

So what's the key?

Depends. If you exported it to the old school format then any plain text-handling stream-capable tool should do.

I have exported it to .reg file, and edit it by Windows notepad... save as .txt file, then convert some fields using sed in cygwin, save as .txt, convert this txt file to windows format and save to reg file.. And after that, when I edit the file it looks normal.. But it is really? ;) I think that if there will be some issues when importing the file, is should warn me that there are some errors in the file, right?

--EDIT--
Exactly how I wrote before.. I made file modification in cygwin, and after importing it to registry as a file.reg it's working well ;)
