no display on laptop running fuduntu

i had this problem with bodhi and never solved the issue so i installed fuduntu.
ever since i got a gateway ml3108B laptop ive had to use a desktop monitor to install any linux distro, but once installed i could use the laptop display. BUT installing fuduntu tonight i was able to use the laptop display during install and all was great. then i got an update warning so i updated as recommended and now ive no laptop display

----------------------------------
got advised to follow this
http://fuduntu.org/wiki/index.php/Nvidia
but at beesu yum install kmod-nvidia

it errors saying no more mirrors to try

any help appreciated

in terminal type

beesu yum clean all
