Which boot entry?

Could someone please tell me the difference between the two boot entries listed on Grub?

I have FC1 installed, and when I boot, I am given 2 options:

something......nptlsmp
something......nptl

Which one should I boot?

Why do I have two different entries?

Thank you!!

Confused :-)

Hi,

The smp entry is for machines with multiple cpu's

If you have one cpu, choose the second (non smp) entry. If you have 1 'multithreaded' cpu you could consider using the smp entry, but only if you actually use this multithreaded option.

Don't know why you have 2 entries. Default for RH 9.0?

Hope this helps.
