Exclamation what will be my localhost login?



>i loaded fedora core5,dual boot with winXP.

>i got the first problem when tried to load by just pressing enter through graphical anaconda. My monitor's screen was not showing any thing.

i tried your sugestion but not succeeded.

if you know your root password the user is root and the password is your root password :-) you have I assume a prompt that looks like:

Fedora Core 5 Bordeaux
Kernel etc.etc.

localhost login: <-- type root here
password: <-- type password here.

after logging in type:



[html]nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf[/html]


then you'll be seeing something like that



[HTML]Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "Radeon"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "ATI Technologies Inc RC410 [Radeon Xpress 200]"
[/HTML]


change "Radeon" to "vesa"


after that press ctrl-x to save the changes.

after that type startx.

you must at least do a little research on your own.

check this out for the ATI driver
