I have a Canyon CN-WCAMN1 webcam and I can't make it to work on fedora 7. please tell me how to make it work. there are no linux drivers for it anywhere .... so maybe there is a plug-and-play solution to it. and please be very explicit in answers because it's my first time using linux.
Plug in the cam (supposedly this uses USB, right?), then open a terminal. Make sure you are the root account user (type "su -l" and give root password) then type (or paste) this:

OK. So it's another one of those Microdia's... The list for know USB devices is at Qbik but it doesn't list yours. In any case since it's a Microdia you should probably try the "sn9c1xx" driver which you will find here. Please read this document before doing anything else.
