videocard and mysql problems

hi,

i have a diamond stII 4 mb video card in this new fedora installation and the computer refuses to startup in x window...

the error stated is that driver doesn't support 16 depth...

when i change the depth in etc/x11/xorg.conf to 8 than i get the nice animation at startup but MUCH to big and not centered.... once he is finished with the animation and normally has to go to the login screen than he locks up the total computer...

this is the contents of this file:

# file minus the extension (like ".txt" or ".db"). There is normally
# no need to change the default.

# Multiple FontPath entries are allowed (they are concatenated together)
# By default, Red Hat 6.0 and later now use a font server independent of
# the X server to render fonts.

# If you have a US Microsoft Natural keyboard, you can use:

# Option "XkbLayout" "de"
# Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

# If you'd like to switch the positions of your capslock and

# Or if you just want both to be control, use:
